PERSONNEL HEALTH
Personnel deployed to the site covered by us are tested medically and certified fit before they are allowed to work. It shall also be ensured that the workers are not exposed to work activities that will cause them health risks.SAFETY INDUCTION
Job orientation/facility orientation shall be given to all employed workers and subsequent new ones before they are allowed to commence work. A safety induction brief is also given to all newly employed and visitors alike. The company’s HSE policy shall be given to all employees
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE)
Personal protective equipment (PPE) necessary for performing jobs safely shall be provided and issued to all workers
It is ensured that the personal protective equipment is used effectively.
The policy of NO PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE) NO WORK is strictly adhered to on the work site. Visitors wishing to enter the work site shall equally be provided with personal protective equipment (PPE).
FIRST AID TRAINING AND PROVISIONS
A well stocked first aid box, manned by a qualified first aider shall be provided on site to assist injured personnel pending medical attention/ evacuation to the company retainer clinic
. Proper records of all drugs dispensed and attended injured persons shall be kept on site. Medical evacuation facilities shall be provided on site in line with safety requirement.
All personnel on site shall be trained on basic first aid procedures and life saving techniques.
Note: Only approved/certified First aid facilities would be provided on site to cater for minor injuries/ailments. Cases of major injuries would be referred to the company’s clinic.
WORKING HOURS
Approved work period for the week is 6 days from Monday to Saturday. Work commences 0700 hours and closes 1600 hours with an hour lunch break.
UNSAFE ACT AUDITING
Observation of personnel and their activities during working hours will be done on regular basis. Audits will be carried out on a weekly basis by a team headed by the HSE officer
DRILLS
Emergency drills are carried out monthly to test and enhance workers utmost response during emergencies. Records of all such drills shall be documented and copies sent to the appropriate persons.
PERMIT TO WORK SYSTEM
Certified and duly signed document shall be required for the commencement of any work activity. The company delegates someone to ensure that if the permit to work is not duly signed, no work shall be carried out until it is signed.

HSE TRAINING
It is in the policy of our company to schedule training programmes for our staff as it enhances skills and productivity. As a result of this, we will ensure that: -* There will be in-house training for all staff by inviting skilled personnel to deliver lectures quarterly alongside seminars.
* Staff will be sent on special training programme for a period of one (1) month and this will be done yearly.
* Staff will also be sent for training that will enhance their productivity on the project being handled at any point in time.
* Staff will be sent for Client’s organized HSE training from time to time.
* Reward will be given to staff that perform excellently during such trainings.
Evidence of attendance of such training shall be documented and kept in the office for the purpose of appraisal and competency gap assurance. -
